Anambra State House Member Inaugurates 2nd Phase Of Operation Kick-Out-Malaria In Onitsha

Malaria is one of oldest and deadliest diseases, devastating families, communities, and countries.

This is why at the early hours of today, residents of Onitsha South 1 rejoiced at the sight of malaria and rodents fumigants, who went about fumigating the entire vicinity, putting out effort into making malaria no more in the constituency.

The "2ND PHASE - TOTAL WAR AGAINST MOSQUITOES AND RODENTS IN ONITSHA SOUTH 1 CONSTITUENCY" campaign, sponsored by the workaholic lawmaker Hon. Patrick Aniunoh, was according to him designed to improve the self-efficacy of individuals, households and communities to reduce malaria deaths through simple health actions.

The first phase which took place in 2016, recorded an outstanding success and Hon. Aniunoh, an embodiment of true representation, promise the good people of Onitsha South 1 that he will sustain the fumigation every two year.

And to facilitate his promise, boasting quality service and improving delivery, he bought two shuttle vehicle.

Because of his foresight and understanding of the basic needs of the people he represent, hundreds of residents abandoned their wares and various activities, to cheer this exceptional leader, who against all odds, walked across streets, exchanging pleasantries with everyone.

The flag off for the 2nd phase started at the St Jude Catholic Church, Fegge, from where every sewage lines, splat of grasses, where thoroughly fumigated, leaving no stone unturned.

And while that was ongoing, residents where duly sensitized about the malaria scourge and preventive methods.

Few of the residents interviewed by Anambrablog corresponded, all singled out the active and working lawmaker for praise, saying that history will never forget him and that generations to come will remember him for his immense contributions to the betterment of the constituency.

In particular, one Mr Obinna Nweke said, "this honourable is a very humble person. We see all the time unlike most representatives who stay away from the people as soon as they win election"

"He is working and what he is doing today is wonderful. He knows what the community needs", he concluded.

Hon. Paddy, as he is fondly called believes that ending malaria stimulates economy, help keeps the people safer and healthier.

APGA party stakeholders, wards chairmen, women leaders and Youth Leaders were all present in their numbers, to support the great initiative.

Hon. Patrick Aniunoh, from all indication is a chosen leader, he is loved by all and that's because his achievements as the representative of Onitsha South 1, speaks for itself.

There is no gainsaying that he is deserving of yet another term because like the general parlance, the payment for good job well done, is more work.
