All Joy And Encomium In Umudioka Awka, As Free Medical Outreach Entered Day 3 (PHOTOS)

Ndi Ichie Hall at  Umudioka, Awka, was filled to the brim, as residents, both old and young, waited excitingly for the arrival of the TeamVIE medical crew, to commence the Free Medical Outreach, which entered its day 3 yesterday.

More lives of the people of Awka South 1, have been touched, and their joy have since known no bound as they continue to pour encomiums and praises on the sponsor, Engr. Emeka Igwe, for his magnanimity in bringing the health intervention to them, as they have been carrying their burden all along and suffering in silence until he came to their rescue.

Addressing the Mammoth crowd that turned up for the exercise, emotional Emeka Igwe reiterates his commitment once more, to continue to inspire his people, to empower them rightly and ensure that years of neglects by their representatives are corrected.

The Free Medical Outreach, since it started Tuesday 25th, April, has generated lots of positive reaction, both from Government, the public sectors and great sons and daughters of Awka extraction.

In Awka South, Emeka Igwe is redefining community service.

Multiple of cases were handled yesterday, those with eye problems were checked and lenses given to them for sight correction and as reading aid. Some were attended to at the dentistry unit, some for teeth whitening, and other had infections that needed drugs only, so also were people for general medicine seen by doctors as well as other services rendered.

All beneficiaries interviewed yesterday, were appreciative of the exercise. One of the beneficiaries, Ichie Emmanuel Mmadukejiaka Nwonwu from Umudioka, who came alongside his grand children and his son’s wife, expressed gratitude.

As fate will have it, Ichie Nwonwu is the father of hon. Emma Nwonwu, popularly known as Emmanco.

Ichie Nwonwu, who stated that it was Emmanco's wife who informed him of the free health service sponsored by Emeka Igwe,  said he had to rush down to see for himself and partake in the free medical outreach.

“I pray that God bless this man. I have never seen such benevolence like this before. I am not asking for food but health care like this are very important for one to live longer. I am totally in support of what is happening here today and may God continue to bless the sponsor, Emeka Igwe”.

For those working against Emeka Igwe, Ichie Nwonwu has this prayer for them,  “for what Emeka Igwe has brought to our village,no amount of deceit from anybody, no evil, shall ever succeed in pulling him down. Anyone who goes about gossiping about Emeka Igwe shall meet his/her downfall”.

He went further to say, “Emeka Igwe is not the richest person in Awka, but here, he is doing something that the entire village is having access to, for free”.

“God will repay Igwe for this kind gesture, i will continue to support him” he concluded.

In the same vain Mrs Nneka Emmanuel, wife of Emmanco, said she was overwhelmed by the massive turnout.

“It is obvious that hon Emeka Igwe, is truly a man after God’s heart. For bringing out his resources to the service of humanity is a great feat and not everybody can do that. This is amazing”.

“It is my earnest prayer that God will strengthen Emeka Igwe and bless him abundantly” she enthused.

Emeka Igwe who made it clear that his concern and focus, remain only to the people who needs care.
Today, the exercise has not only become successful but has surpassed all expectation.

The Free Medical Outreach continues today at Okpuno Town Hall.
