Obiano Second Term Will Be More Eventful Than The First For Ndi Anambra – Chief Press Secretary

Shortly after the oath administration by Governor Willie Obiano on the newly appointed principal officers at Government House, Awka, the designated Chief Press Secretary, Chief James Eze, granted his first press conference, addressing journalists.

Thanking gentlemen of the press for honouring the invitation and witnessing the history that was made today, Mr Eze, in a very few words explained what transpired in the Exco Chambers where the oath of office was administered on himself and other three principal officers.

According to him, Gov obiano in his usual characteristic advised them to take their assignment serious and brace up because the task ahead is enormous and only the strong will survive.

“Gov Willie Obiano second term will be more eventful than the first one for the people of Anambra State and for South East geopolitical zone  because we are aware that Anambra is a preeminent state in South East” he said.

The Chief Press Secretary who went further to say that the Governors intention is to  build on the foundation he laid in the first term, call for the support and cooperation of the press corp, saying they remain his primary constituency.

In accommodating diverse interest, Mr Eze said, “I promise I will be open to all, fair to all and I will serve diligently as I have sworn to the oath of office that was administered to me”.

“So I pledge my complete allegiance to my constituency because the only reason I was appointed is to actually get to see how I can coordinate activity between you  and the office of the governor” he enthused.

“So I am committed to this particular task and on my path I will do whatever I can to establish a cordial understanding with member of the press and beyond and the governor, so that together we can work for stronger and more prosperous anambra state” he concluded.

Speaking on behalf of the Press Corp, the Chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalists, Anambra State Chapter, Mr Emmanuel Ifesinachi, assured Mr Eze that journalist in Anambra will give him their maximum support and will make his task easier

Other principal officers who received the oath of office today were; the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwudobelu; the Chief of Staff, Mr Primus Odili; and the Principal Secretary to the State Governor, Sir Willie Nwokoye.
