Igwe Storms APGA State House, Intimates Working Committee Of His Political Ambition



The APGA State Party House at Awka , yesterday, was a beehive of activity, as philanthropist and a technocrat of immense repute, young Chief Emeka Igwe, visited the state working committee to identify with them and apprise them of his political ambition to run for Anambra State House of Assembly.

Receiving him and his entourage, Sir Norbert Obi, APGA State Chairman, said he toed the right path by identifying with the State Working Committee.

Mr Morgan Ifeanyi, Awka South Party Secretary, while introducing Emeka Igwe on behalf of the Chairman, explained that Awka South came second after Anambra East LGA during the governorship election because people like Emeka contributed immensely to achieving that feat.

“Emeka is here to show respect and inform the state working committee of his intention to run for the state house of assembly and to represent the people of Awka South Constituency A”  he revealed.

Sir Theophilus Nnoli , APGA Zonal Vice Chairman for Anambra Central, who observed the hunger in Igwe, affirmed that truly he came prepared and assured him of the support from the party working committee.

Addressing the working committee,Emeka Igwe,a man of few words, reiterate once more his decision to run for the State House Assembly and to represent the good people of Awka South Constituency A. 
He called for the support of the party in ensuring a level playing ground in the emergence of the eventual party flagbearer bearer. “ I have the hunger to serve and I am here because I need your support” he enthused.

On his own part, Deputy State Chairman,  Chief Tony Omelikue, stated that Emeka, from his address, didn't sound desperate as most politicians would. He later went on to talk about how he met him and his dedication to the party.

“First time I met Emeka was during the governorship campaign last year where he gave us a million naira to deliver the governor in Awka South”. 

“You have an open heart and your coming is a wonderful one” he said.

In the same, Chief Obi Mbonu, the former APGA State Chairman, who also accompanied him for the visit at the APGA state house, said he did that because he saw something in him he didn’t see in others.

The state party chairman, Chief Norbert Obi, summed up the visit by urging Igwe, as a party man, to go back to his constituency and continue his consultation from ward to ward. He, therefore. blessed his political ambition.
