Awka South Constituency 1 Rumbles, As Philantropist Tour All Wards, Bringing Hope

Often time it is said that what defines a good politician and stand him out is the level of acceptance or respect accorded to him at the grassroots.

As a reputable grassroot man with a tremendous acceptance rating among his people, Chief Emeka Igwe, earlier today took a tour of all the 7 wards that made up Awka south Constituency 1, to familiarize himself fwith the Wards Executives, interact and identify with them.

Leading a team of supporters made up strong APGA Stakeholders, APGA Youth Leaders, opinion moulders and community leaders, Igwe first visited Ward 1, where the Chairman, Mr Ogadi Nwosu and his fellow Exco Members received them warmly.

The Chairman thanked Igwe and his entourage for coming around and not just that, but also for making their ward his first point of call.

Ichie Ikechukwu Anene, who is the Chairman for Ward 6, Chief Igwe came from, revealed, to the delight of everyone present, the reason why they’ve come.

Speaking of Igwe, Anene emphasized that Igwe’s background in Awka South is well rooted and that he's done so much for the ward where he belonged in Amikwo. Anane went further to state that Igwe has brought peace and progress to the ward since he returned.

“He is a man that follows due process, a straigth forward person and we are here to support him because he is doing good” he said.

Introducing the man of the people, Chief Charles Nwachukwu, stated that their coming is just an icing on the cake, just to water the ground and that there will be more important visit to come in the foreseeable future.

Standing up to address the Ward Executive, the respectful  Igwe stated the obvious that a tree doesn’t make a forest and by virtue of that, cant go on the journey alone and therefore needed their support to actualize this dream

Demonstrating how so much as eluded the good people of Awka South Constituency 1, Igwe reiterated that the strength of a true leadership is to attract investment to one constituency.

Chief Emeka Igwe who said similar thing at the two remaining wards visited today, ward 2 and 3, assured that with his wealth and experience,  both locally and internationally, he will bring a much meaningful turn around that will eclipse past and outgoing representative.

“I am here for our progress together and I am here to volunteer myself to inspire the people, which will create empowerment”, he enthused.

Stating the needs for every wards to have its own office, Chief Igwe promised to initiate that because it will go a long way putting  many things at the right perspective.

The Excos of the 3 wards visited today, all spoke with one voice and that is their unflinching support for Emeka Igwe, whom they believed his smart and the best choice for State of Assembly ticket.

Chief Igwe who rounded up his electrified tour for day 1 at Ward 3, showed eagerness to serve because he felt things are not going well at the constituent, and that the people’s  rights are trampled upon and they no longer get what we deserve.

Igwe’s passion to serve is borne out of his desire to inspire the common man.

Passing a vote of thanks  and speaking for their respective Wards,  the Chairmen expressed optimism that  all things being equal, Igwe will represent them at the State House of Assembly. They promise to take the gospel to other wards and beyond and advised him to be steadfast and continue doing good.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of sets of plastic chairs and tables for all the 3 wards visited, this was done to stop the hiring of such in any event. And the promise of a befitting offices for all the wards will be done at the appropriate time.

Tour for the remaining four wards will continue tomorrow
