ANAMBRA TALENT SHOW 2018: Discovering The Next Super Stars.


Saturday afternoon, Awka metropolis was practically lit up as Bring-It-On-Africa, a brand that is out to breed the next generation of creative young minds of African descent, in conjunction with Anambra State Government, went on a road show to call for youth participation, as they bring to Anambra for the first time, a Reality TV Competition, tagged, ANAMBRA TALENT SHOW 2018.

From Amaenyi, the road show took off in a long convoy, with a serenading and artistry display, as the party move to all the major spots within the city, with the first stop at the popular round about in Eke Awka market.

Major contributor and one of the Chief Sponsor, Chief Emeka Igwe, an extraordinary young philanthropist and a believer in young creative ideas, was present in his usual self to support the project and call on young ndi Anambra to seize the opportunity presented by the talent show.

The good thing about this show is the fact that registration is completely free and the idea, according to the Chief Convener, Hon. Emeka Nwosu, Former SSA to Governor Willie Obiano on Inter-Party Affair, is to give unhindered opportunity to youngsters so that their dreams will not be cut short.

You may recall, during the the 2nd term inauguration speech of Gov. Obiano, recently at the Alex Ekwueme Square, he hinted on the creation of a new enabler he called “The Creative Economy”.

In his words, "Brothers and sisters, our dear state has always been in the commanding seat of Nigeria's creative industry. Yes. This state has produced great writers, singers, poets, painters, actors and storytellers".

And for someone who is a human capital developer and of immense repute, Chief Igwe believes that the Talent Show, First of its kind, would promote human creativity in the state and with that, more creative ideas would generate.

Igwe, who is aspiring to use his wealth of knowledge as a technocrat, to represent his constituent of Awka South Constituency 1 at State House of Assembly in 2019, believes that if it good for young ndi Anambra, then the future is good for Anambra.

Finding time to explain the registration process to some young persons, who gathered to know what the road show was all about, Emeka Igwe, assert that the idea is to harness the creative impulses of our young ones in different forms and building something exciting out of it.

Interestingly, the talent show is open for students under the age of 20 years, to take part in the reality TV competition and are expected to go online and register @ www.Bring-It-On-Africa.org.

Registered students would then be accessed under the following categories; Script writing, Singing, Dancing, Comedy, Acting, Craft and Technical.

Registration which is ongoing ends Saturday, 14th April, 2018 while the auditioning will start 4th May and run through 7th, July 2018.
From Eke Awka, the road show party moves to Amawbia Junction, Unizik Junction and finally winded up at Aroma Junction.

Also present to give support and lend their voice to the project, were; Prince Emma Nwigwe, a human capital developer and philanthropist; Mrs Ify Enekwechi, Former SSA to Governor Obiano on Special Education; Mrs Sarah, Deputy Manager, Diamond Bank Branch, Awka Expressway Branch.
