NDLEA Invades Hard Drugs Hideout In Umunnachi


In keeping Anambra safe and securing lives and properties, a promise the State Government has kept so far, the Anambra state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA), has commenced raiding in rural communities where trafficking and use of dangerous drugs are practice.

The raid was in Umunnachi, a community in Dunukofia Local Government Area of the state, an alleged notorious drug dealer was arrested while the major dealer escaped upon the invasion of the men of the NDLEA in his house.

The state Commander of the agency speaking through the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Charles Odigie, revealed that two big bags and 18 packs of the substance suspected to be cannabis have been recovered in the raid.

He appeals to members of the various communities in the state to support the agency by providing useful information on drug peddlers which will aid their arrest and so rid the society of crime and criminality.

According to Odigie, the command will carry on more sensitization on the effects of drug trafficking and its intake.
