Stakeholders Laud Umeh's Victory, Task Him On Igbo Agenda

A former Commissioner for Education in the old Anambra state, Chief Chukwuma Okoye, has described the victory of Chief Victor Umeh at the Anambra Central re-run election in the state as a victory for the Senatorial District which has been denied of quality representation for over two years.

Chief Okoye who stated this at Isuaniocha after monitoring the senatorial election at Isuaniocha , Amanuke, Urum , and Mgbakwu rejoiced at Umeh’s victory which he said, will address marginalization of the Igbos of the South East extraction.

The APGA stakeholder decried the activities of some politicians who were part of the delayed representation of the district at the Senate and expressed confidence that Chief Umeh will address the challenges facing the Igbos .

He eulogized the APGA administration under Governor Willie Obiano as exemplary and a catalyst towards enlarging the scope of the party beyond the state.

On his part, the Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Harford Oseke, expressed optimism that APGA will sweep the polls in the 2019 general elections in Nigeria.

In their separate felicitations, the Commissioner for Environment Ecology and Beautification , Dr Romanus Ejikeme, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Town Union and Chieftaincy Matters, Chief Ikechukwu Onyeabor and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Matters, Lady Vera Okonkwo, expect him to address the challenges facing the Anambra Central Senatorial District, Anambra state and the Igbos in general.
