Anambra Central Senatorial Re-run: "On January 13 The Profile Of APGA Will Rise Again" – Victor Umeh.

An emotional mammoth crowd gathered at Neni, Anaocha LGA, Venue for the Grand finale of the Campaign Tour of Sir Victor Umeh for the January 13 Anambra Central Senatorial re-run.

Party stakeholders, captains of industries, Business magnets, government functionaries and friends and supporters of Ohamadike were present to witness the last campaign rally that will ultimately usher the much awaited senator of Igbo extraction.

With the keynote address given by the Transition Chairman of Anaocha LGA, Chief Ikobi Ejiofor, the stage was set for an unprecedented and historic final campaign tour. Chief Ejiofor affirmed  that Ohamadike is the first APGA Chairman to produce 5 governors, calling him a colossus and asserting that Anaocha has every reason to vote him because of his good work.

On the chances of Victor Umeh representing well at the Senator, Hon. Zubby Okoye, Member, Anambra State House Assembly, representing Anaocha 2 constituency, called Umeh a good man who will champion the course of ndigbo.

Dr Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, the former National Secretary of APGA, a good orator, made a convincing and salient remark when he said that APGA will be use as the political platform for a better negotiation for Igbo nation at the centre. He went further to say that those doubting Gov. Willie Obiano and Victor Umeh, both fighting for a better igboland, will be disappointed as God will use them to produce Igbo president in Nigeria.

In the same vein, Chief Dan Ogbuefi, Ide Agulu, acknowledged that the governor has achieved a milestone with his flawless victory at the poll and thus set the pace for the emancipation of South East.

“The Jan. 13 election is going to be a referendum for the emancipation of Igbo nation”, he said.

“We are starting a struggle and it is not going to be easy but Ohamadike is tested and trusted, therefore we will vote for him overwhelmingly to clear all doubts”, he enthused.

On his own part Chief Anthony Onukeme affirmed Anaocha’s total support for Victor Umeh, saying the objective is to strengthened the Igbo Nation.

The man of the moment, Ibobo Aguleri, Ohamadike in Ndigbo, Chief Sir Victor Umeh, couldn’t help it but shed some tears of joy when he came up stage to address the cheerful crowd.

He showered encomium on Governor Obiano, the man he considered an epitome of humility, for appreciating his effort and supporting him in the Senatorial rerun.

Victor Umeh took the crowd down memory lane on how he started his sojourn into APGA, his challenges and how he persevered in keeping the APGA family together. 

“In the beginning of the Journey I knew it will be difficult for me…for 15 years I have fought battles that are difficult but I persevere and trusted God”.

Umeh who said he’s only thankful, mentioned everyone who had made his long Senatorial journey a fruitful one at last, showing gratitude for believing in him. In particular he appreciated the effort of the Online Teams of #TeamOhamadike and #TeamObiano, jointly led by Rtn. Ifeanyi Aniagoh, SSA to Governor Obiano, for their overwhelming contribution before, during and after the governorship election.

The highly spirited Senator in the waiting, declared that come Saturday the profile of APGA will rise again.

The 21-over-21 Governor, the record breaker and maker, Chief Willie Obiano, declared that all impediments and obstacles to the actualization of Umeh’s ambition have been swept away. He said this is the time to galvanize ndigbo. As the Chief Security Officer of the state and the governor under whose watch Anambra is safe, he promised to beef up security on the day of election.

Some speakers who took turn to chip in some words include; Bar. Ndubuisi Obiadi, APGA Anaocha LG party chairman; Chief Ben Umeh – SSA inter-party relation; Prof. Peter Ejiofor, founder, Suwakwa Igbo; Hon. Theofilus Nnoli, APGA State Vice Chairman, Anambra Central; Dr Mrs Ifeyinwa Obegolu, APGA BOT member; Chief Victor Ike Oye, APGA National Chairman; Chief Norbert Obi, APGA State Chairman.

Other dignitaries present, include, in no particular order; Hon. Anayo Nebe, former Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly; Hon. Ben Nwankwo; Chief Okey Udeh, former Deputy Governor; Bar. Mrs Uju Nworgu, Hon. Commissioner for Youth, Sport and Entrepreneural Development; Mr Okey Morka, Hon. Commissioner for Lands;  Bar. Mrs Stella Onuoha, Hon. Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Culture and Tourism;  Sir Okoye Agu, Former Deputy Governor; Chief Cyril Okoye; amongst others.

The Anambra Central Senatorial Re-run is set to take place on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the following LGAs that made up the zone; Awka North, Awka South, Anaocha, Dunukofia, Idemili North, Idemili South and Njikoka.

As a result, movement will be restricted for the purpose of the election in the aforementioned LGAs.
