Contractor Reassures On Early Completion Of Ifite - Awka - UNIZIK - Amansea Road Project

Construction work on the first phase of Ifite-Awka-UNIZIK-Amansea road is nearing completion.

It was observed that construction of drainage on the first phase of the road has been completed up to the University gate while about one hundred meters is remaining to complete work on the drainage channels.

Meanwhile, asphalting has been completed up to about two hundred meters close to the University gate.

Speaking to reporters, the Director of the project, Mr Odiraa Nwolisa, said heavy vehicular movement is the major challenge facing the pace of work adding that they must cover a reasonable part of the remaining areas before they embark on Christmas break.

On his part, a resident of the area, Mr Kingsley Uzokwe, commended Governor Willie Obiano for fulfilling his promises and called on all to give him total support to enable him complete the good work he has started.

In the same vein, construction of drainages have commenced on the second phase of the road, which is about one hundred meters from the University gate to Amansea.
