Ndigbo Urged To Uphold APGA Ideology

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Media for Grassroots Mobilization, Mr. Egbuna Amuta says all persons who truly feel aggrieved by the marginalization of Ndigbo in the Nigerian polity should key into the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA ideals.

Mr. Amuta made this assertion during an APGA stakeholders meeting in Ward Eight of the Onitsha North Local Government Area.

He noted that All Progressives Grand Alliance is the only political party which has demonstrated strong inclination and determination to champion fundamental cause of Ndigbo and all other sidelined groups in the country.

The Governor's Senior Special Assistant recalled that notable Igbos who were not necessarily members of APGA including late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, late Barrister Jacob Nwokolo and a former Director in INEC, Dr. Mrs. Ifeyinwa Obegolu, played major roles in the official registration of APGA as a political party in the country.

The Governor's Media Assistant noted that even though some political parties in Nigeria claim to have national spread, they are actually dominated and controlled by the elite of certain ethnic groups who constantly undermine the interests of Ndigbo in the country.

Also speaking , the chairman of APGA in Ward Eight, Onitsha North local government area, Mr. Kinsley Ginikanwa, enjoined all members of the party to sustain aggressive door to door campaign for total mobilization of the electorate for the party's resounding victory in the November 18 gubernatorial poll.

Mr. Ginikanwa also stressed the need for APGA faithful to remind Ndi Anambra about the recent ugly past of the state under another political party, and the rescue mission of APGA in the state in the past eleven years.
