Obiano Inspects Guber Campaign Office, Confident Of Victory At The Polls

Governor Willie Obiano says with its over 1.3 million registered members and supporters from other political parties, APGA is poised to win landslide in the forthcoming guber election in the state.

The Governor was speaking when he inspected his reelection campaign office complex in Awka.
Governor Obiano who was on arrival at the complex, received by APGA Legislators at the National and State Assemblies, members of the National Working Committee, party stakeholders and faithful with chants of solidarity, was later conducted round the facility by the Chairman of his Reelection Campaign Committee, Chief Victor Umeh.

Addressing the mammoth crowd after the inspection, Governor Obiano said APGA as the party in power in the state in the last 11 years has done very well for Ndi Anambra and his administration has not lowered the bar of good governance.

According to him, his second term development plan entails a comprehensive blueprint that will impact positively on every segment of the society, especially women, youths and children and will help consolidate on the achievements of his first tenure as regards achieving fiscal sustainability for the state.

The Governor who said he was impressed by what he saw at the campaign office, expressed optimism that the facilities put in place will enable the party monitor the upcoming guber election to ensure that no malpractice takes place.

He further said he has the assurances of the security agencies that the exercise will be peaceful, urging APGA faithful not to rest on their oars until victory is achieved.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Governor's Re-election Campaign Committee, Chief Umeh noted that since the office was opened, a lot of support groups have come to register their solidarity with the movement notable of whom were the workers, the pensioners, persons living with disabilities among many others whom the Governor has touched their lives positively.

While noting that they have developed a robust strategy to ensure that the people's votes count in the November 18th governorship election, Chief Umeh called on other political parties to imbibe the spirit of fair play and undertake the campaign in a manner that will not disrupt the peace and stability in the state.

Also speaking, the member representing Njikoka One constituency in the State Assembly, Dr Timothy Ifedioranma and his Njikoka Two constituency counterpart, Sir Pete Ibida acknowledged that APGA is famous for winning elections free and fair and there is no doubt that with the quality performance of Governor Obiano in the past three and half years, Ndi Anambra will reward him with a second term.
