Bishop Ibezim Charges Politicians To Uphold Issue Based Campaign, Shun Mud Slinging

The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim has called for serious prayers for the peaceful conduct of the November eighteenth gubernatorial election.

Speaking to the ABS in Awka, Bishop Ibezim who described prayer as key to success urged the electorate not to make any mistake during the forthcoming election, reminding them of the need to choose a Governor who will be responsive to the yearnings and aspirations of the people.

The Anglican prelate, charged the people to safeguard their voters card, which he described as a veritable instrument for enthroning credible leadership, advising politicians to avoid acts capable of overheating the polity.

Bishop Ibezim, urged candidates for the November eighteenth gubernatorial election, to embark on issue based campaign instead of that of character assassination and hate.
