Anambra Govt To Embark On Reconstruction Of More Roads In Awada-Obosi

Work is to commence soon on Pope John Paul, Ukegbu, Ben Aghaeze and Ayika streets in Awada, Obosi in Idemili North Council Area.

Governor Willie Obiano disclosed this when he attended a Holy mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Awada Obosi to mark the 10th year priestly anniversary of Reverend Father Vincent Ezenwaka.

Governor Obiano who noted that work has commenced on Mgbemena street, revealed that control work is ongoing on the Obosi erosion site.

The governor further spoke on the electrification project which his administration is undertaking from the power substation at Obosi to communities in Nnewi North and South Council areas, adding that the project has the capacity to boost industrialization in the state.

He called on youths in the state to take full advantage of the free ICT training which his government is providing for them to explore their potentials, assuring that his government will continue to embark on initiatives that will make life more meaningful for Ndi Anambra.

Earlier in a homily, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obinma urged Christians to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and to always pray for the peaceful conduct of the upcoming guber election in the state.

The priest commended governor Obiano for his exemplary Christian attributes as well as his prompt payment of workers salaries and called on citizens of the State to endeavour to participate during the upcoming election while harping on the need for Ndigbo to unite and speak with one voice so that the Federal Government will give them sense of belonging.
