Anambra Deputy Governor Charges Electorate To Shun Money Politics

The State Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke, has renewed his call for the support of the Igbos to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Dr. Okeke, while addressing APGA faithful in Onitsha North Local Government Area during a ceremony, described APGA as the only party that gives the Ndi Igbo the needed voice.

He called for one voice among the people of the State especially during the November eighteenth Governorship election.

On the need for Governor Obiano to be returned to the Government house, Dr. Okeke said this is necessary following the Governor’s proof of competence in the governance of the state.

He also buttressed his point by noting that Anambra Central has served two tenures at the Government House and since Governor Obiano belongs to APGA which is an Igbo party and hails from Anambra North, he should be allowed to equally enjoy two tenures after which the south will be given the chance to enjoy its own two tenures.

He cautioned against money bag politicians who would stop at nothing to ensure that they get into the Government House only for their selfish interest.

In his response, the APGA Chairman, Onitsha North Local Government Area, Mr. Martin Obika, assured that members will do their best to ensure a landslide victory for the Governor at the polls.
