Obiano Urges Corps Members To Equip Themselves Properly With Entrepreneurial Skills

Members of the National Youth Service Corps, deployed to the State have been advised to use the various entrepreneurial skills they learnt in camp to improve themselves.

Governor Willie Obiano gave the advise at the passing out Parade of the 2017 Batch A, Stream Two Corps Members at the NYSC Orientation Camp Umunya in Oyi Local government Area.

The event saw Corps members in their complete uniform, with members of the Nigerian Army, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, and other military and para military agencies on hand.

Governor Obiano represented by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth Entrepreneurship and Sports Development, Mr Linus Nwankwo, stated that youths remain the symbol and catalyst for growth and development, urging them to use all opportunities provided them by the National Youth Service Corps and it's partnership programmes with different agencies such as Central Bank of Nigeria and the Bank of Industry to properly equip themselves for the challenges ahead.
He urged them to be role models in their different places of primary assignments.

Earlier in a welcome address, the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps , Mr Ebenezer Olawale, commended the State government for its support to the scheme, especially the ongoing construction of the NYSC permanent Orientation Camp at Mbaukwu-Umuawulu in Awka South Local Government Area and enjoined the Corp members to be torch bearers.

The Passing out Parade was spiced with a martial arts presentation by the Corps members.
