APGA Primary: Obiano Extends Olive Branch To Dissenters, Calls For Peace And Togetherness

We must make ndi Anambra stay on the part of progress via progressive continuity and for another four years we must keep working for the good of our dear state. We have done well for our people and we have shown clearly to all that we remain the best.

The above assertion was made by His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano while addressing APGA party delegates during the its primary which saw him emerged as the flag-bearer for the November Guber Election in the state.

Accounting for his stewardship since he came on board three years ago under APGA, Obiano said “APGA is not about personal interest but about a common desire to enthrone good governance”.

And in the spirit of sportsmanship and as a good leader who has demonstrated the important of coexisting in the past, Gov Obiano has called on those who had misgivings about the party togetherness to join him and the party to move it forward.

“By putting your faith in me we shall continue to encourage togetherness and peace in our party. APGA is a big family and in a family there is bound to be some misgivings once in a while, so in the spirit of onye aghana nwanne ya and alignment of interest, I called on all our brothers and sisters who have some misgivings about our togetherness to come join hands with us to resolve our differences”.

Obiano who said his victory was a victory for good governance and continuity, stated that there are several hurdles to cross but encouraged all  to work assiduously in ensuring total victory of the party in the November Election.

Speaking on the forthcoming election, he said “we will win the November election, so that our people will benefit from the momentum we have built. Any new person or party coming in will have to learn the ropes. We must make our people stay on the part of progress via progressive continuity. We must keep willie working for another four years for the good of our dear state”.

As already announced by INEC, Anambra Gubernatorial election is scheduled to hold on November 18, 2017, and the working governor of the state, Gov Obiano will be seeking for reelection under APGA party after emerging the flagbearer.
