Anambra Govt To Construct Amanasaa -Umuchu Girls' School - Umuomaku Road


This government remains committed to implementing its numerous initiatives aimed at realizing the socio- economic transformation of rural communities in the State.

Governor Obiano was speaking during a holy mass at Saint Paul's Catholic Church, Achala- Umuchu in Aguata Local Government Area.

Governor Obiano who promised that his government will construct Amanasaa- Umuchu Girls' School- Umuomaku road, said the contract will be awarded next year after the passage of the state's 2018 appropriation bill.

While noting that the Nkwo Umuchu- Achala Umuchu road project was ongoing, Governor Obiano explained that contract was also awarded for the renovation of General Hospital, Umuchu which he said was among the health facilities to be used for the Anambra state Health Insurance Scheme.

He appealed to people of the community to continue support for his administration in its efforts to improve their living conditions.

In a homily, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor applauded the state government for its efforts to provide infrastructure to enhance learning in primary and secondary schools in the area and urged students to imbibe quality academic discipline.

The Catholic Prelate reminded christians of the need to internalize the virtues of faith and perseverance as essential attributes for good christian living.

The Governor was later during the mass presented with some religious relics by the Priest in charge of the Church.
