Akpokuodike Fan Club Inaugurates Ambassadors For Obiano's Reelection (PHOTOS)

The past three years has made Anambra State first among others and under the leadership of Governor Willie Obiano, the state has become and will remain an example of true democracy.

This assertion was made by the president of Akpokuodike Fan Club, Hon. Barr. Chika Ekwenugo, during his address at inauguration of the Ambassadors from the 21 Local Government of the State, which was held yesterday at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, Anambra State.

Barr. Ekwenugo explained that the Ambassadors will serve as Ministers to the organisation and with the responsibilities of sensitizing and mobilizing the grassroots for Gov. Obiano second tenure while ensuring that eligible voters obtain their voters card and vote for the working governor.

He stated that the driving force was based on the visible achievements in the state by the working governor.

"Amidst recession, Anambra state remains the only state to pay workers salary on the 24th of every month, thereby making our dear state a recession free state. In the area of infrastructure, Anambra State has the best capital projects, what more can any state wish for. The one million question is; how come fantasies have suddenly become reality? There is only one man behind this mask of success, Chief Willie Mmaduaburochukwu Obiano ( Apkokuodike Global)"

"Gov. Obiano first class achievements within this few years appeared unrealistic to previous administration, hence, we join voice to say that leaders are born not made, imagine Anambra State in the next four years of Chief Willie Obiano excellent leadership."

Inaugurating the Ambassadors, His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano, who was ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr Nkem Okeke, expressed delight at the passion and zeal the organisation has displayed. He encouraged them to be committed and to make sure that Akpokuo is returned. Stating that their loyalty was never in doubt, the governor said, "sometimes it is not your personal gain or what you get, it is about your vote."

"I have come and seen, you should be rest assured that your input will not be in vain. The success of the campaign is dependent on you. When you vote, make sure you protect your vote" the governor said.

In the same vein, the former Ambassador to Spain, Ambassador Mrs Bianca Ojukwu, strongly pointed out that the state will be doomed if Obiano does not return for 2nd tenure.  Mrs Ojukwu who said the late hero of Biafraland, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, had once conceptualize Anambra that will be the beacon of the South East, where true true democracy and leadership will strive. She said such vision gave birth to APGA party which has now lived up to the expectation of Ndi Anambra. She then pleaded with Ambassadors and the Akpokuodike Fan Club family as a whole to strive hard to ensure victory comes to APGA in this election.

In his own part, Prof. Chukwuemeka Omaliko, who was the guest speaker of the day, gave a speech that centred on how to become a true fan. Prof. Omaliko who said he is a superfan of Gov. Willie Obiano, gave account of his first encounter with His Excellency. He said unlike most typical politicians, Gov. Obiano is a quite performer whose work speaks for him.

Other dignitaries present includes; Chief Dr Barr. Paul Nnanah; Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezim; Hon. Pete Ibida, House Member representing Njikoka 11 constituency; Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, SA on youth empowerment; Igwe Anthony Onyekwere, JP; APGA Stakeholders; Other Political and Youth Leaders.

On the alleged boycott of Anambra election by IPOB, the president, Barr. Ekwenugo said, "election is a constitutional thing and except the constitution is amended, i don't think any organ has the right to stop an election."

"Even the governor himself cannot stop election, let alone, IPOB that is not even a lawful or recognized body in anyway. So this issue of election boycott, like i have advised my people, my ambassadors to go into the nooks and cranny of Anambra State, report and tell people that there no such thing as 'no election'.  Election will hold come 18th of November in Anambra state", he enthused.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of Award of Excellency to Gov. Willie Obiano for his excellent work in Anambra State.
