#PopStarsOfThe70s Return To Thank Obiano For Honouring Igbo Pop Stars

A three man delegation, representing the POP STARS of the 70s, was at the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, Culture and Tourism, headed by Hon. Barr. Stella Onuora, to show appreciation to the ministry and indeed the administration of Gov. Willie Obiano for honouring and resurrecting their music in peoples consciousness.

Barr. Stella Onuora who received them and whose ministry organised the concert, thanked the delegation for coming, saying that the purpose for the concert was achieved, which was to bring back the old time nostalgia and appeal their music hold.

 The delegation, who didn't just come to say 'thank you', also presented a customized plague to governor Obiano as the first in more than 4 decades, to properly honour Igbo POP stars of the 70s while according them the opportunity to play together in a recognition live

 Hon. Comm. Barr Stella Onuora; Principal Secretary, Mr Willie Nwokoye and Mr Bob Manuel Udokwe, SSA on Creative Media and Entertainment, were all recognised with plaques for the wonderful roles they played during the concert tagged 'The Ressurection Concert'

The group was represented by Anii Hofner of 'One World'; Walton Arungwa of 'The Apostle'; Renny Nwosa of 'Aktion Group'.

You may recall that the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, Culture and Tourism organized an Easter Musical Concert tagged  “Pop Stars of the 70s”, featuring for the first time in almost half a century the top pop groups of the 70s performing together in one show. The event which took place on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, Anambra State, witnessed a large turnout as the legends take ndi Anambra back in time in a world of nolstagia.
