Anambra 2017: Former vice President Supports Anambra North To Complete Tenure

Politicians in the State, have been urged to allow Anambra North Senatorial District, to complete its eight years tenure, as the November eighteenth Gubernatorial election draws near.

A former Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, made the call when the Executive members of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Anambra State Chapter paid him a courtesy call in his country home at Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area.

Dr. Ekwueme, who maintained that he is one of the proponents of zoning formula at both Federal and State levels, noted that if not for the zoning arrangement, the people of Tiv, will be producing the Governor of Benue state till date and pleaded with politicians in the State to allow the Anambra North Senatorial District to complete its tenure in the spirit of equity, justice and fair play.

Earlier, the State Chairman, of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Chief. Damian Okeke-Ogene, who said that the purpose of the visit was to reiterate their solidarity with the former Vice President, as the highest ranking politician of Igbo extraction.

Others who spoke at the event were the new President of ASATU, Chief Alex Onukwue, Igwe Emeka Iluno of Ifitedunu and Igwe Chika Uchime of Ufuma,  among others.
