ACTDA Cautions Builders Against Manipulating Regulations

Awka Capital Tertiary Development Agency ACTDA says any developer who fails to stick to approval granted by the agency will have such construction demolished.

The Head of its Development Control Unit, Mr. Victor Okpoko stated this when he inspected ongoing fencing of a parcel of land opposite Dr Alex Ekweme square Awka.

Mr. Okpoko regretted that the developer did not adhere to the fencing permit granted him by the agency and gave him fourteen days to remove the fence which, he said , did not observe the six meters from the walk way.

He warned that if after fourteen days the builder did not remove the fence, the agency will demolish it.

Mr. Okpoko said that the agency has intensified its monitoring of the state to ensure compliance with existing building regulations warning that hard times awaits defaulters.

Contributing an Engineer at the Agency, Engineer Jude Ogugua harped on the need for builders to maintain standard set up by the state government .
